First ever Latin American ‘Zone’ Conference

Hello friends!
We wanted to share something exciting with you and ask you to be praying alongside us for an upcoming conference we’ll be part of this April.
A few years ago, Word of Life (now serving in over 90 countries!) made the decision to unify all of Latin America into one region. Because of its size, the region was divided into seven zones to better foster connection and collaboration.
From April 16–19, 2026, the very first ‘zone’ conference will be held for Word of Life teams from Panama, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua. We’ll also be joined by a young couple from Colombia who are just beginning a new ministry there.
Missionaries from these four countries will gather at the Word of Life camp in Panama, and the director from Word of Life Argentina will be coming as the guest speaker.
The heart behind this zone conference is to remind us that we are part of something much bigger than our individual locations. The theme, “Bridges,” reflects the desire to strengthen connections between teams across our zone.
All of this comes from the conviction that we are better together than we are on our own. It’s exciting to see how the Lord is moving—not only in Panama, but across these neighboring countries as well!
Please join us in praying both leading up to and during this special time. We will give you an update on how it went in our next newsletter in May. We are especially excited to attend as a family, as we look ahead with great anticipation to our transition to Panama this summer!
And speaking of Panama, shout out to our friends Jonathan and Tara Higdon who just graduated from ILE and are now in Panama. They are living thirty minutes from where we will be!
